We are an Independent Baptist Church which holds to the fundamentals of God’s Word. Our services are intentionally structured to be meaningful in worship, friendly in nature, and Word-based in preaching.

Pastor TJ Lacock

Pastor TJ recently graduated with his Master of Divinity degree while serving on the staff of Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin and accepted the call to Garnet Mesa during his last semester.

Pastor TJ, Bethany, and Ember Lacock

During their time in Wisconsin, he and Bethany ministered as youth leaders at First Baptist Church in Hartford and dorm parents at the university.

Doctrinal Statement

Everything we do at Garnet Mesa is built around the truth in God's Word, the Bible.

Our Church Ministries

Preaching

Preaching is the center of our ministry. We use a mixture of topical and expositional preaching that is focused on the practical application of the Word of God to our everyday lives.

Music

Music is performed in a conservative manner. We sing a mixture of hymns and spiritual songs which exalt the Lord Jesus Christ in musical style and lyrical composition.

Music is performed in a conservative manner. We sing the old-fashioned hymns all of which have a message that exalts the Lord Jesus Christ.

Shut-Ins

Our Shut-In Ministry records the morning service on a CD and then makes copies to be delivered to those who cannot come to the services. These people have either been sick, hospitalized, or unable to get out.

Youth Group

We love our young people and desire to see them learn to love and know God more. We have a classes on Sundays for all ages of young people including youth group (7th-12th grade) and elementary ages. On Wednesday nights, we have a special class for younger aged children.

Youth Group Ministry is for those from 7th grade to 12th grade. We have a class on Sunday and look forward to beginning the youth group on Wednesday nights as well. We have activities for young people regularly.

Ladies Missionary Group

Ladies Missionary Group is a group of ladies that meet once a month to pray for and support our missionaries. They send letters and share letters from the missionaries. We have time to gather gifts and items for the missionaries when they come by on furlow.

Elementary Ministry

The Elementary Ministry is made up of kids who desire to learn about God and teachers dedicated to teaching the Word of God clearly so the children grow in the Lord.

Nursery

In the Nursery, the ladies are dedicated to the care and well-being of our youngest people attending. There is always someone to serve in the nursery allowing the adults to worship in a quieter atmosphere.
